If you're hankering for some really good breakfast then look no farther! OPH is the place to go to satisfy your breakfast cravings! Of course their staple dish are pancakes, but they also serve other breakfast favorites like eggs, bacon, waffles, french toast and many others! My favorites are the regular pancakes with some eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast but they have something for everyone when you come to visit! Make sure you get their early especially on weekend morning because they get busy really fast and youll end up having to wait! The one thing that I did not like was the cornbeef hash. I think I've just gotten to use to the canned stuff but I did not enjoy the texture Pancakes House cornbeef hash had.
Dawn, our waitress was amazing! Especially her smile. Food was home made style delicious!
Great place for breakfast. Large portions and wonderful service.
The food and service here were outstanding! The food was great and in very large portions. I thought it was odd that they charged extra for hashbrowns where most places include it in the price, but after seeing the size of the omelet I ordered I realized I really didn't need it. This is a great place to stop for some awesome breakfast food items!
One of Sioux Falls best breakfast spots. If you love Corn Beef Hash, in my opinion, they have the best and I have tried multiple establishments in town. They are usually very busy during peak hours and they now have a function where you can add your name to their online waitlist so you don't have to be physically present to add your name. Great food and great service.
Food was great and service was too. The namesake pancakes were awesome Biscuits and gravy and the stuffed hash browns ????
We love coming here. A good amount of gluten free options for our daughter with Celiac which is amazing! Their omelets are my favorite as I'm personally not a pancake/waffle lover in general so I've never ordered, unpopular opinion I know BUT my husband and kids do and they LOVE theirs at OPH! Easily two meals with the large portion. The fresh salsa on top is delicious! I'd love to know if you can buy in a larger quantity to bring home! Their fresh squeezed orange juice is worth every penny. My only wish is that you could get thin sliced bacon, not a fan of thick cut bacon so I've never ordered it. Clean establishment and bathrooms!
Our first eating here.. the food was delicious and the service was excellent!!!
Delicious food, reasonably priced and generously portioned. Make sure to join the waitlist before coming (you can do it from their website) especially during the weekend; the line in the morning can be pretty long. My favorites are the pancakes and Dutch baby.
A true staple of Sioux Falls and honestly the most incredible breakfast food I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Friendly staff with a fresh bounty of food. From fresh squeezed orange juice to the juiciest thick bacon you've had, I guarantee you won't be disappointed by the OPH.
Wow! This is my go to breakfast place in Sioux Falls. This is the restaurant I've frequented the most while here. The service is always stellar, the atmosphere open and friendly, and everything is clean and well-operated. All of that isn't even mentioning the quality of their food! Their bacon is some of the best I've ever had, and the French toast is decadent. I've had many other things in their menu, and it never disappoints. Everything you would ever need in a breakfast place! Expect a long wait if you come at a peak time, which is, of course, a sign of an awesome restaurant. Well done, OPH!
20min wait was fair, busy busy place on the weekend morning. Service was great, friendly. Kids enjoyed french toast and super fluffy waffles. Omelettes we're MASSIVE 5 eggs. Recommend getting a different cheese in them as the standard American cheese is super oily, sub for a real cheese. Coffee was great, super happy they even had real Heavy Cream. Prices, expect a family of 4 to be in the $60-$75 range depending on kids orders and drinks. Solid stop on a trip to try it out for first time.
Instantly and Happily greeted at the door with two menus in hands with a table ready for us at 7:30 am no wait. Server also greeted us happily with waters and coffee and gave us excellent suggestions that had us sold in the first few minutes! We ordered the Sante fe omelet and the apple pancakes! Our server even let us know the pancakes do take 15 minutes but it is worth the wait! Jeremy gave us exceptional service! We will be back!
This place is a definite must! I have been several times and I would recommend each and every plate I have tried. Great service and the place is always packed so that should tell you everything. Service is as good as it gets! And it won't hurt your bank account when you leave!
Wanted to go here with my sister and her hubby so had to get put on the waiting list. Not many people turn away from that waiting list, and for good reason! Once we got seated after approximately the same time that was estimated, the coffee (amazing coffee) kept coming. Soon after we order was not long before our food came out!! Highly recommend this place for anyone who's never been! The German Dutch pancake or whatever it's called was so good I didn't need to even put syrup on it and I love my syrup!! Also their omelettes are EVERYTHING you will love
Our favorite breakfast place in Sioux Falls. Get the Swedish Pancakes with lingonberries and ask for a side of continental sauce. Trust me!! Every time we go to this location we are surprised at how good the food is. It's very consistent and the staff is always very very friendly. This was the first time we arrived there before 8:00 and it was also the first time we didn't have to wait. If you want to get in and out of this location fast you'll need to get there extra early because they are always on a wait. It was a cold Saturday morning this time which also might have slowed down the crowds. By the time we left they had a 45-minute wait. The kids always get chocolate chip pancakes or blueberry pancakes The portions are huge and the blueberries always look very fresh.
Would recommend everyone to get a reservation, especially on a busy weekend. Parking is also pretty much full. Estimated wait time around 30 mins. Menu had a lot of unique varieties. Staff provided excellent service despite all the rush. The food was amazing too, of course.
We decided to try the Original Pancake House due to its long history. Even though there are several locations in the country, this was our first visit.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a very nice interior dining area. It had an upscale vibe without that uncomfortable - we aren't fancy enough for this place feel.
We had an excellent server, Jeremy. He was friendly, funny, and on top of everything. It was the best service experience we have had since pre-covid times. We can't remember a better service experience.
The food was delicious. It was a good, hearty breakfast. We didn't try any of their 'specialties'. I really wish we had.
We had eggs benedict, Huevos Rancheros and split three Cherry Kijafa Crepes. We had more than enough for a second meal and took all our leftovers to our Airbnb and enjoyed it again the next morning.
Prices were reasonable. Ambiance was very nice, and service was stellar.
Good enough we will be seeking an Original Pancake House out for at least one breakfast on all of our future travels.
Our food was amazing. I ordered the cinnamon French toast with a side of bacon. Our party of 8 had an enjoyable breakfast together. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes and thick slices of bacon. Very good for my first time.
One of the best places for breakfast. Don't let the line in the lobby discourage you. The line moves fast and the food is worth it. Portions are on the plus size. Pancakes, waffles, French toast, crepes and omelettes are all fantastic. Service is super friendly and when you order, it comes out fast.
